Volunteer Application

The 49th annual Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, the Original, needs your help. Thanks to our great volunteers, each year we are able to produce one of the nation’s best outdoor art fairs and for the past four years running we have been voted one of the top 10 Fairs in the country by AmericanStyle magazine, including Number One!

We value our wonderful volunteers and their dedication to the Ann Arbor Street Fair.  We have made several changes and additions to the application and volunteer assignments. Volunteer assignments will be distributed on-site. We recognize that many of our volunteers have served us diligently in specific areas. If you have a strong preference regarding your on-site assignment or have additional questions, please contact us at (734) 994-5260 or office@artfair.org. In this application you will find four volunteer opportunities:

  • Townie Street Party
  • Street Art Fair
  • Green Team
  • Operations Crew
Each volunteer shift is three hours. Volunteer assignments will be given on site.

1. Townie Street Party Volunteer, Monday July 14th

Help us setup, staff, and clean up at the 4th Ever Townie Street Party. (You will be assigned to the following areas on-site)

  • Townie Hall
  • Kids’ Art Fair
  • Imagination Station
  • Information and Souvenirs Booth
  • Gold Sponsors/Beverage Tent

2. Art Fair Volunteers, Wednesday-Saturday July 16-19

Go For Art

  • Help artists by handing out water, information, and the daily newsletter Street Talk.
  • Run small errands for artists and staff
  • Replenish supplies at Information Booths
  • Booth Sitting: Mind the booth for artists who need to take a break or are giving a demonstration.

Hospitality

  • Host/Hostess to Artists and Sponsors
  • Service beverages, snacks, and lunch for artists and volunteers

Art Zone

  • Help with the creative Art Zone activities that will be taking place continuously Wednesday through Saturday.

  • Assist fairgoers dispose of their waste in the proper recycling containers
  • Educate fairgoers and hand out pamphlets about sustainable waste management and current issues facing our environment

(Please note these positions require heavy lifting, setting up tables and chairs, and loading and unloading supplies.)

  • Help transform our beautiful city into a haven for the arts!!
  • Hang banners and signs, equip information booths, etc

Tear Down (Sat.):

  • Repack and put away fair supplies
